This is my first experience of watching my kids do a group assignment, so am quite amazed at how independently they are able to do it without help from parents.
For my son the teacher had formed groups and asked them to form a band and sing a Tamil poem as a group with music et all. And for my daughter - they had to enact a story from social studies.
From the time he returned from school until the next morning my son and his band members formed a whatsapp group, did a gmeet call, assigned roles and instruments, decided on the beat for the drum, and then practiced on their own. The next morning they were all set to perform as a group with almost no in-person practice as a group! And their group was ranked first!
My daughter and her group decided on each person's role in school, once home they also created a whatsapp group. 1 kid took up script writing and promptly shared the script in a word doc in the group, while my daughter took up printing of 6 copies. The skit date moved to next week but they are already all set to perform!
It is quite unnerving to see how easily they adapt to this virtual mode and don't let it come in the way of their routine!
